
Committed Freelancers Get Higher Life Satisfaction and Payment, According to Survey.
Most freelancer (69%) dedicated their time to their freelancing way of life, while some other do freelance job as supplements beside their main job in the company. The highest percentage of Freelancer that dedicated their choice of freelancing life is at western Europe with 77% of them working only as freelancer. While in Central America, 42% of freelancers split their time between working a company job and one or more freelance gigs.
Time splitting between freelancing and a company job is most common among finance workers (52 percent) and QA workers (43 percent), and least common in marketing and web & graphic design (26 percent). According Payoneer Survey freelancers who committed freelancer as lifestyle have a higher life satisfaction with average 4.1 out of 5 across all respondents. While those who split their time between freelancing and a company job get averaging at 3.8 of 5 lifestyle satisfaction. Besides that freelancers who dedicated their life for freelancing get higher payment with average $22 per hour compare with the freelancers who still splitting their time have average payment at $18 per hour.

The two most popular reasons freelancers are satisfied with their lifestyle are the ability to work from home as 83 % of respondents are working from home and flexible working hours, while the most common concerns are the challenge of finding enough work and sustaining a decent income stream. COVID-19 pandemic also becomes the main reason why freelancers choose to work from home.
Other reasons why freelancer choose to work from home are money and time saving on transportation that always create additional stress for people. Besides that family and life balance also become the strong reason for freelancers to choose stay at home for working.
