7 Freelance Project Types You’ll Face as a Freelancer

Many Freelancers have survived customers from hell, and they have also worked long hours on low-budget, supernatural-ranking projects while maintaining our sanity.  And for new freelancers, if you’re not terrified yet, you can refer to these list anytime  when some of your clients start acting strangely, on purpose, of course. Let’s take a look at the 10 Freelance Project Types you’ll encounter during your freelance career.

1. The Superhero Project

Do you know Iron Man?  Yes the superhero project is the kind of project that will jolt the planet, unleashing a wave of revolution that will astound mankind. The client talks about it as if he’s inventing a new type of technology as if he invents J.A.R.V.I.S.

This kind of freelance project might be a new high or low in your freelance career. Many freelancers interested this type of freelance project. It makes them feel they have created something big and good to be on portfolio. But, the best type of Freelance Project Types is the project that   pays the bills. So make sure when you  across a deal like this, you require a contract and a 50% down payment.

2. The Cloning Projects

Again, clients will think that their idea is revolutionary. While actually it is a combination between a several platforms that you know.  Business ethic speaking , you will mention that the idea is similar to the A, B, C platform or website. However, most of clients will ignore it and keep thinking that their idea is brilliant.  So, what you can do for this You do for this Freelance Project Type ? You can deliver your job , collect your pay, and walk away without ever mention again that the idea is similar to previous platform.

3. Multi skilled Projects

Among the Freelance Project Types, this is the most annoying one.  If you are a developer some non tech client will think that you are master of Java, Javascript, PHP, Python, C++, C#, Mysql  and the list keep going. If you are a designer client might think that you can do photoshop, video edit and also NFT design and the list keep going. Therefore, it is important to make sure that your client knows and understand well your capability. It will not make your skill looks down, in fact it will make your job easier.

4. The Sixth Sense Project

Either the project is logo design, web design, or article writing you can get annoyed when your client doesn’t really know what he wants. So, you have to guessing or change the theme several times.  Any design objective or project aim will be altered based on the client’s aesthetic sensibility. However, you simply do not have the time to anticipate his every whim, therefore your best choice is to narrow down the project plan with as many details as possible. Otherwise, you’ll be imprisoned in the ‘I don’t feel like it’s right’ black hole for the rest of your life. Remember to make sure how many revisions that you can give to clients.

 5. The Project in a Project

For example is, if you are a designer either web designer, interior or graphic designer. Your client asked you to design something.  When you have delivered the project, the client asks you for bonus work to re-design their logo and event ask for a tagline.  You don’t want to make your client disappointed but on the other hand you got disappointed.  Like or dislike you must do it otherwise the client might not want to work with you again. But if you, do it, they will ask for more. So, in this situation you’d better do it for one time, after that you can separate the service fee if the client ask again.

6. The Fast Furious Project

This is when the client  ay “It is just an easy task” and the client  ask you to do it like there is no tomorrow in a limited time.  Since it is an easy task you accept the “simple and easy job”. Things getting worse when the client ask more details and waiting you to deliver it  and keep asking you “how ?”. Now you  has taken over his burden. For this type of project, you can charge double if the client ask you for speed delivery.

7. The Cheap Project

You can find lot of cheap projects offering. When you have no choice because the bills is not a choice either, you must accept it. Every freelancer has experienced this at some point during their less solid foundation years, and we all know that the mental disturbance created by the inexpensive project is far more destructive than the sum of the above-mentioned concerns. Your body is basically open to any agony the client can conjure up. It’s a nice memory that serves as a reminder to always maintain a backup savings account during terrible times.

That are the Freelance Project Types that you  will often face it. Every client is unique but there is red line that makes them similar. Just make sure that you can predict what will happen if you receive a project from a client. It can make your job easier and  your life happier.  Remember always  know your worth  and upgrade your skill with that mindset and attitude  you will attract the right clients into you.
