Senior HR Generalist/Contingent Labor

Provides strategic support and guidance by proactively aligning with HR Business Partners (HRBPs), Indirect Procurement, and end-user Managers in the administration of Univar Solutions contingent labor-managed services (MSP) FlexWork program. Manages and partners with Univar Solutions MSP vendor to ensure contractual compliance, efficient contract labor request processing, vendor/supplier performance, and cost containment. Develops and designs forecasting tools, defines service metrics, and implements policies, standards, and procedures for the utilization of contingent labor services. Creates and presents specific training for end-user Managers on the Univar Solutions FlexWork MSP program to include overall education and risk mitigation in areas such as co-employment.
Key Deliverables
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or relevant subject field of study
- Aligns and supports HRBPs, Indirect Procurement, and end-user Managers
- Provides consultancy and guidance while developing strategic contacts and relationships ensuring the successful execution, sustainment, and evaluation of the Univar Solutions FlexWork MSP program
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of contingent labor management related to the day-to-day supplier/vendor management while sustaining regulatory compliance
- Partners with and manages Univar Solutions contingent labor managed service approach and MSP vendor relationship
- Performs as a key account manager and primary point of contact for Univar Solutions contingent labor program to including managing vendor expectations and performance
- Manages day-to-day contingent labor program operational issues
- Designs and creates key performance metrics for performance tracking
- Proactively interfaces with MSP vendor on metrics such as cost improvements, throughput on time to fill, administrative compliance performance, and overall end-user’s satisfaction
- Conducts administrative audits to ensure integrity of the data.
- Leads internal training for end-user Managers and other Univar Solutions key stakeholders on the contingent labor program
- Develops and leads training/direction to end-user Managers, HRBPs, and stakeholders to ensure program awareness, adherence, and education
- Standardizes processes and policies related to Univar Solutions contingent labor program
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations as it relates to the contingent labor program
- Develop and manage Univar Solutions overall contingent labor position in accordance with key company contacts to reduce risk
- Performs other related duties as required or requested.
Education/Experience/Training
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or relevant subject field of study
- 3-5 years’ experience in Human Resources to include work experience in contingent labor, vendor management (VMS), and managed service provider (MSP) programs
- Expert knowledge using MS Office applications to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
