I'm still kind of in shock honestly. Took my 2014 Wrangler to the dealership in Abu Dhabi because the check engine light came on and it was running rough, and they gave me this long list of things they said needed replacing including both O2 sensors, spark plugs, coils, and even something about the PCM needing an update. Total came to around 8,000 dirhams. I just couldn't afford that so I drove it home and started asking around. A guy from my off-road group said I should look for Jeep Maintenance Experts Musaffah because dealerships often go overboard and independent specialists know what actually needs to be done. Found one place that had really good local reviews, took it there, and the owner plugged in his scanner and within ten minutes said it was just a bad upstream O2 sensor and a small vacuum leak. Charged me 1,500 including labor and parts, and the Jeep has been running perfectly for two weeks now. I'm not trying to bash the dealer because I get that they have overhead, but man the difference in approach was night and day. Just wanted to share in case anyone else gets handed a crazy quote and feels stuck. Always get a second opinion from a shop that actually lives and breathes Jeeps.
