Hi Anton,
interesting question, i worked with some Japanese clients before , my suggestion is trying to be discipline about work delivery, and pay attention to details.
i had awesome clients and good relationship with them, how i can get my client is mostly from using the freelance platform, easy and hassle free. Good luck!

Well first of all  not many Japanese speak English,  so your obstacle number one is Language.

If you able to speak or write in Japanese  it will be easier for you  to get Japanese client.

I can say that Japanese client  prefer quality than economic price  and if they satisfy with your work, they definitely will come back to you again.
